Shanaya Kapoor, Alaya F join the cast of Karan Johar’s Student of the Year 3? Here’s what we know about SOTY3

Karan Johar’s Student of the Year films helped launch and/or set the careers of several stars in Bollywood such as Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra in SOTY and Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday in the standalone sequel SOTY 2. And now, as per a media report, its likely to help establish the careers of Shanaya Kapoor and Alaya F with Student of the Year 3.

Shanaya Kapoor, Alaya F in Student of the Year 3?

As reported by digital content creator Snehkumar Zala on their Instagram handle, Shanaya Kapoor and Alaya F are set to play lead roles in Karan Johar’s SOTY 3. The film will be produced by Karan Johat’s Dharmatic Entertainment and will release directly on OTT.

The creator further revealed that major parts of project will be shot In Europe.

About the SOTY universe

Student of the Year was directed by Karan Johar and starred Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. The 2012 film also featured Rishi Kapoor, Sana Saeed, Ronit Roy, Sahil Anand, Ram Kapoor, and Farida Jalal in pivotal roles. Released in 2019, SOTY 2 was a standalone sequel directed by Punit Malhotra. This film romcon – that also focused on sports, starred Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria, Ananya Panday, and Aditya Seal in pivotal roles. The first film was produced by Dharma Productions and Red Chillies Entertainment, while the second was solely backed by Johar’s production house.

As of now, there is no official news about SOTY 3 from the makers.
